Commercial Weighing Guide

TruLoad's commercial weighing module serves private-sector operations where accurate weight measurement drives billing, compliance, and logistics decisions. Unlike the enforcement module (used by government agencies), the commercial module focuses on two-pass weighing, tare management, and weight-based invoicing.

These industries are now a real, settable classification, not just marketing copy. A commercial tenant can pick its vertical (Waste Management, Quarry, Factory, Logistics, Agriculture, or General) on the "Industry / Vertical" dropdown at organisation creation, which the backend stores under the organisation's metadata and uses to apply a default module preset. An unclassified organisation (every commercial tenant created before this feature, and any tenant whose admin skips the dropdown) behaves exactly as before - the classification is optional and additive, not a prerequisite for using the platform.   • Two-pass weighing with reweighs -- gross and tare captured separately, net weight calculated automatically, and a vehicle can be sent back for any number of reweighs before the transaction is finalized
